
Namdo Hanbakwi, widely regarded as the ultimate value-for-money travel program, has rolled out new summer tour courses.
"This summer's courses are organized around the region's top summer destinations, including cool beaches and islands, forests and gardens, marine leisure activities, and Namdo cuisine," Oh Mi-kyung, director of the tourism division at South Jeolla Province, said Tuesday.
Running from June through August, the summer tour program consists of 14 courses designed to let travelers fully enjoy the summer atmosphere of South Jeolla.
Major courses include: Seonamsa Temple, Gwangyang Bulgogi Street, and yacht experience (Suncheon and Gwangyang); Baekyangsa Temple, Yeonggwang Gulbi Street, Baeksu Coastal Road, and Chilsan Tower (Jangseong and Yeonggwang); the National Maritime Museum, Bukhang Sashimi Town, Mokpo Marine Cable Car, and the Kim Dae-jung Nobel Peace Prize Memorial Hall (Mokpo); Hwasun Jeokbyeok Cliffs, Gwanbangjerim Forest and Guksu Street, Juknokwon Bamboo Garden, and the Metasequoia Tree-Lined Road (Hwasun and Damyang); Heungguksa Temple, Gyodong Fish Market, Odongdo Island, and Aquaplanet (Yeosu); and the Buncheong Pottery Museum, Nokdong Port Sashimi Town, and the Geumdang Palgyeong sightseeing cruise (Goheung).
Namdo Hanbakwi is a flagship tourism product of South Jeolla Province that allows travelers to visit three to five tourist attractions and festivals in a single bus tour along each course.
Fares for each Namdo Hanbakwi course start as low as 12,900 won. The program has been drawing strong interest, with more than 10,500 travelers having used the service from January through May this year.
