
KAIST held the "KAIST AI College Vision Proclamation Ceremony" on Monday at the Chung Kun-mo Conference Hall on the fifth floor of the KAIST Academic Cultural Complex (E9), the university announced.
Following a welcoming address by KAIST President Lee Kwang-hyung, Bae Kyung-hoon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and ICT, delivered a keynote speech outlining the direction for cultivating core talent and innovating education in the AI era.
Yoon Kuk-jin, Dean of the KAIST AI College, presented the medium- to long-term vision and key strategic initiatives of the AI College under the theme "Vision and Innovation Direction of KAIST AI College."
The event also featured the inauguration of the KAIST College of AI Advisory Board. The advisory board will provide strategic counsel on education, research, industry collaboration, global cooperation, and the implementation of responsible AI at the KAIST AI College.
"KAIST AI College aims to be more than an organization that simply teaches AI technology. It seeks to become an education and research platform that expands human intellectual capabilities alongside AI and designs new knowledge and the future," Dean Yoon said.
"We will work to ensure that KAIST AI College leads the cultivation of AI talent and research innovation in Korea, and grows into an open platform that collaborates with the world," President Lee said.
