Incheon Metropolitan City announced Sunday that it is recruiting 100 participants for its summer youth internship program, which offers job experience opportunities at public institutions. The selected youths will gain hands-on administrative experience for one month at public agencies including city hall, fire stations and libraries.
The program is open to youths aged 18 to 39 whose resident registration is in Incheon as of June 1. Those who participated in the city's public sector youth internship program between July 2024 and January this year are not eligible to apply.
A special recruitment track provides opportunities to enrolled or on-leave students at two-year colleges or higher who come from low-income households, are registered as disabled, or are children from multi-child families with two or more children.
Applications will be accepted on the Incheon city website from 9 a.m. on the 1st until 6 p.m. on the 11th. Selection will be made through a computerized lottery on the 15th, and the first five applicants will be allowed to observe the drawing in person.
Successful applicants will work for a total of 17 days from July 6 to 29 at the city's main office, business sites, public corporations and agencies, district and county offices, fire stations and libraries. The standard schedule is five days a week, seven hours a day, but may be adjusted depending on the assigned institution.
Inquiries can be directed to the Michuhol Call Center or the Incheon City Hall Local Administration Division.
