Seoul's Nowon District will host a "Youth Market" on the 13th and 14th in conjunction with the Gyeongchun Line Gongneung Forest Trail Coffee Festival, supporting young entrepreneurs and revitalizing the local commercial district.
The event, taking place along the Gyeongchun Line Forest Trail near the rear gate of Gongneung-dong Dokkaebi Market, will feature 42 teams of youth and general sellers showcasing a variety of creative products including handcrafted goods and desserts.
The Youth Market is a participatory marketplace that supports creative activities and early-stage startups. It drew approximately 12,700 visitors across four sessions held last year.
A distinctive feature of the market is that it allows sellers to exchange operational experiences and ideas with one another. The district plans to extend visitor dwell time and energize the local commercial district through its tie-up with the coffee festival.
Youth-run shops and the youth pop-up store "Reason-Worthy General Store Hagye Branch" will also participate as sellers, while prospective entrepreneurs will gain on-site experience.
"We will continue to provide support so that young people's creative challenges and the local commercial district can grow together," Nowon District Mayor Oh Seung-rok said.
