The City of Busan is launching its "AI Digital Learning Center Program" in earnest to strengthen citizens' digital capabilities and address digital exclusion.
The artificial intelligence (AI) and digital education initiative, jointly promoted by the city and the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, is designed to help any citizen easily learn and utilize AI and digital technologies.
The program runs from June through early December and covers practical, life-oriented programs, including education on preventing digital financial fraud such as smishing and on using unmanned ordering kiosks.
The initiative is particularly focused on reducing the information gap and digital exclusion that can arise amid the spread of generative AI and the acceleration of digital transformation, and on fostering a citizen-centered environment of digital inclusion.
