
Saturday will be mostly sunny across South Korea, with daytime temperatures climbing to around 30 degrees Celsius and hot weather continuing nationwide.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on Friday, the country will be largely sunny on the 30th under the influence of a high-pressure system moving eastward from the West Sea.
Temperatures are expected to remain similar to or above seasonal averages for the time being. Saturday morning lows are forecast at 12 to 20 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will range from 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.
Morning temperatures in major regions are expected at 16 degrees in Seoul, 16 degrees in Incheon, 14 degrees in Suwon, 14 degrees in Chuncheon, 19 degrees in Gangneung, 15 degrees in Cheongju, 14 degrees in Daejeon, 15 degrees in Jeonju, 14 degrees in Gwangju, 15 degrees in Daegu, 17 degrees in Busan, and 17 degrees in Jeju.
Daytime highs are forecast at 28 degrees in Seoul, 26 degrees in Incheon, 27 degrees in Suwon, 29 degrees in Chuncheon, 31 degrees in Gangneung, 30 degrees in Cheongju, 29 degrees in Daejeon, 28 degrees in Jeonju, 29 degrees in Gwangju, 32 degrees in Daegu, 29 degrees in Busan, and 26 degrees in Jeju.
Most regions across the country will feel hot as both daytime temperatures and perceived heat rise. In parts of the Gyeongsang region, the eastern coast of Gangwon, and the southern coast of Jeolla, the maximum apparent temperature is expected to climb to around 31 degrees Celsius. Ultraviolet radiation will also be strong. Between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., UV index levels in most parts of the country are forecast to reach the "very high" level.
