Daejeon Urban Corporation has donated funds to Save the Children to support children's rights, joining efforts to advance child rights and assist children in welfare blind spots in the local community.
The corporation announced Tuesday that it donated 3 million won to the Central Regional Headquarters of Save the Children, an international child rights NGO, on Monday.
The donation will be used to operate Save the Children's "International Children's Marathon" and its "Campaign for Guaranteeing the Rights of Children with Migrant Backgrounds," supporting Daejeon's children — the city's future — in living in a better environment.
"We will take the lead in eliminating welfare blind spots so that our children can grow up healthy without being marginalized," said Jeong Kook-young, CEO of Daejeon Urban Corporation.
