Korea Forest Service Minister Park Eun-sik held a meeting with the Korea Plywood Distributors Association on Thursday at the Forest Vision Center in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, to hear on-the-ground views on blocking the distribution of illegal and substandard imported plywood and on measures to revitalize the timber industry.
"Blocking the distribution of illegal and substandard wood products is important to ensure public safety and to revitalize the timber industry," Park said. "We will strengthen targeted enforcement and improve the quality control system."
