Ulsan City will hold the "2026 Taehwagang National Garden Spring Flower Festival" for three days from November 15 to 17 in the Taehwagang National Garden area, the city said Wednesday.
Held under the theme "Taehwagang National Garden, Walking Through Spring," the event is a stay-type tourism festival designed to let visitors enjoy leisure time with spring flowers in an urban rest space. The festival aims to promote Ulsan's brand as a garden city and build momentum ahead of the 2028 Ulsan International Garden Expo.
In the 28,000-square-meter flower field, approximately 60 million blooms of five spring flower varieties, including corn poppies, cornflowers, baby's breath, California poppies and peonies, are in full bloom, offering visitors the beauty of the season. On the opening day, November 15, pre-ceremony events and the opening ceremony will be held at the special stage in the Wangbeodeul Madang at 6:30 p.m. Throughout the festival, various performances that can be enjoyed by all ages will continue, including busking, local cultural and arts performances, children's magic shows and musicals.
Experience and healing programs are also abundant. Family participation programs include "Our Family Garden Making," effective microorganism (EM) mud ball throwing, butterfly costume experiences and a rookie gardener competition, along with relaxation programs such as garden yoga and a "Tea and Book Lounge." A flower and flea market, a 360-degree moving camera and a spring flower mini-train add to the festival's attractions.
At night, string lights and landscape lighting will be installed around the flower garden and the zelkova tree path, offering a romantic night view different from the daytime scenery.
Ulsan City expects to extend visitors' stay times and revitalize the local economy by expanding nighttime content, while establishing Taehwagang National Garden as one of Korea's leading garden tourism destinations.
