"Happy Bridge," a group leading organizational culture innovation at the Multifunctional Administrative City Construction Agency (Happy City Agency), has held an inauguration ceremony for its second cohort and begun full-scale activities.
The Happy City Agency said Wednesday it held the inauguration ceremony for the second cohort of Happy Bridge at a conference room in Building 6 of the Government Complex Sejong on the 12th.
Happy Bridge is a voluntary group formed by 23 Happy City Agency officials to build bridges of communication across generations and ranks, and to innovate organizational culture and working styles through creative ideas.
The first cohort of Happy Bridge in 2025 planned and executed novel projects centered on three working groups — organizational culture, working styles, and field communication — including "Gapjil (Workplace Bullying) Terminology Dictionary," "AI-Utilized Administrative Practice Workshop," and "Generational Empathy Reels Production."
This year, Happy Bridge aims for "Innovation to Habit," pursuing initiatives such as exploring smart working styles suited to the digital transformation era, discussing practical measures to improve unreasonable practices within the organization, and identifying field-oriented ideas through policy site visits.
To expand the scope and substance of its activities, Happy Bridge plans to actively benchmark innovation best practices from private companies and other public institutions, and to create a distinctive innovation model for the Happy City Agency through exchanges with organizations that have successfully established flexible organizational cultures.
The group also plans to hold regular discussions and workshops to build members' capabilities, and to actively reflect novel proposals in actual organizational operations and policymaking processes.
"The Happy City Agency's competitiveness comes from the free imagination and flexible communication of its employees," Deputy Administrator Choi Hyung-wook said, expressing his support for Happy Bridge.
