Moving into Sejong's industrial complexes is set to become easier for businesses.
Sejong City announced Tuesday that it has piloted a new system for signing industrial complex occupancy contracts electronically.
The initiative aims to enhance administrative efficiency and business convenience by digitizing the industrial complex occupancy contract process, which previously required complex paperwork submissions.
The city established the electronic contract framework through collaboration with the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation (KICOX), becoming the first local government to do so. Sejong City and KICOX plan to gather feedback from actual users during the pilot operation and continuously upgrade the system based on the results.
KICOX plans to expand the electronic contract system nationwide in the future.
"The introduction of the electronic contract system will ease administrative burdens on businesses and simplify procedures, fostering a business-friendly environment and helping revitalize industrial complexes," said Ryu Je-il, director of the city's Economy and Industry Bureau.
