Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province will hold "university-specific admissions briefings" for local high school students and parents. Admissions officers from 15 universities will directly provide information on the 2027 academic year admissions.
The city announced Wednesday that it will hold the briefings four times at Jeong Yak-yong Library on June 6 and 12, and July 9 and 10. Participation is free, and applicants can register for multiple university sessions.
The 15 participating universities are Gachon University, Sungshin Women's University, Myongji University, Shinhan University, Soongsil University, Sejong University, Kangwon National University, Kwangwoon University, Sahmyook University, Kyonggi University, Seoul Women's University, Duksung Women's University, Sangmyung University, Dongguk University WISE Campus, and Seoul National University of Science and Technology.
Admissions officers from each university will spend one hour explaining admission methods, evaluation criteria, and university characteristics, followed by a question-and-answer session. The briefings aim to provide practical information so participants can proactively respond to changes in the admissions system.
With continued population inflow driving a sharp rise in educational demand, the city is expanding career and college preparation programs through its Talent Development Support Center to strengthen local educational competitiveness.
The latest briefings were arranged in this context. The city plans to help students and parents grasp the latest admissions trends, compare each university's admission features, and build practical application strategies.
Applications for the June sessions will be accepted from May 12 to June 1, and for the July sessions from June 12 to July 5. Applicants must register as members on the city's Talent Development Support Center website before applying.
