South Jeolla Province (Jeonnam) has extended the application period for its "Women Farmers and Fishers Happiness Voucher" program until the 15th, an initiative aimed at expanding cultural activities in the daily lives of women engaged in farming and fishing across the province and adding vitality to their agricultural work.
This year's Jeonnam Women Farmers and Fishers Happiness Voucher program targets a total of 107,500 recipients, with a budget of 21.5 billion won. In the first round of applications, 94,746 individuals were selected, confirming 88% of the planned recipients as eligible for support.
Eligible applicants are women aged 20 to 80 who have maintained residency in Jeonnam for at least one year as of January 1, 2026, and are actively engaged in farming or fishing. Selected recipients receive 200,000 won in voucher points per person annually.
The Happiness Voucher points can be used across a variety of culture- and welfare-related businesses, including movie theaters, bookstores, hair salons, and sports centers. They cannot be used at entertainment or gambling establishments, large supermarkets, or medical facilities such as hospitals and pharmacies.
