Busan Port Authority (BPA) has been recognized for top-level transparency in the government's evaluation of public institution management disclosures. It became the only agency under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF) to be named an "Excellent Disclosure Institution," affirming its credibility in public sector management.
BPA announced on the 7th that it was designated as an Excellent Disclosure Institution in the "2025 Public Institution Integrated Disclosure Review" conducted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MOEF). The review assessed the accuracy and timeliness of disclosure items on ALIO, the public institution management information disclosure system.
BPA achieved zero disclosure errors for the second consecutive year, recording a flawless result. Of the 317 public institutions reviewed this year, only 18 institutions, or 5.7%, were selected as Excellent Disclosure Institutions.
The achievement is considered particularly meaningful given that BPA maintained its error-free record despite stricter disclosure standards and an expanded scope of review items. BPA was the only public institution under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries selected as an Excellent Disclosure Institution this year.
Analysts attribute the achievement to an established internal collaboration system. BPA has operated a "Disclosure Quality Innovation Learning Community (CoP)" involving disclosure officers from each department, jointly reviewing updated disclosure guidelines and practical cases. The agency was highly rated for maintaining disclosure quality without any disruption even when personnel changed.
With the selection, BPA will receive incentives including exemption from next year's integrated disclosure review and preferential treatment in management evaluations.
"This selection is the result of every department working together over the past two years," BPA President Song Sang-geun said. "We will continue to place the public's right to know as our top priority and establish ourselves as the most trusted and transparent public institution."
