
Bok Soo-kyung, a professor of rehabilitation medicine, has been appointed as the 25th president of Chungnam National University Hospital. Her three-year term runs from May 12, 2026, to May 11, 2029.
Bok graduated from Chungnam National University College of Medicine in 1993 and earned her doctorate in medicine from the university's graduate school. She has served as a professor of rehabilitation medicine at Chungnam National University Hospital since 2011, actively engaging in clinical practice, research, and education.
She has held key positions including director of the Daejeon-Chungcheong Regional Medical Rehabilitation Center and head of the Education and Talent Development Office. She currently serves as director of the Daejeon Metropolitan City Regional Healthcare Center for People with Disabilities.
Bok has also contributed to academic and policy development through her roles as president of the Korean Diabetic Foot Society, president of the Korean Society of Cancer Rehabilitation, chairperson of the Korean Foot and Ankle Society, general affairs and examination director of the Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine, and director of the Korean Society for Neurorehabilitation.
"I will build a hospital where staff and patients can smile and be happy together," Bok said. "I will work to become a national university hospital trusted by the people while communicating with the local community."
