BEXCO, the Busan Exhibition & Convention Center, has stepped up to support the successful hosting of national sports events taking place in Busan.
BEXCO said Friday that it delivered 2 million won in donations to the Busan Metropolitan City Volunteer Center to support the 20th National Sports Festival for Students with Disabilities and the 55th National Youth Sports Festival. The donation will be used to support volunteer operations during the events.
The support aims to provide a more stable and comfortable environment for athletes and spectators. Busan is hosting the National Sports Festival for Students with Disabilities and the National Youth Sports Festival consecutively this month, welcoming athletes from across the country and family visitors.
BEXCO has recently been expanding social contribution activities linked to the MICE industry. Last year, it collaborated with the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service to produce and donate 2,000 foldable cushions made from recycled exhibition banners, supporting the 2025 National Sports Festival.
"We will continue to strengthen our role as a platform that contributes to the local community through the revitalization of the region-based MICE industry and the practice of sustainable ESG management," a BEXCO official said.
