
Incheon's Yeonsu District is publicly recruiting 28 consumer food hygiene monitors through January 8.
Consumer food hygiene monitors are civilian inspectors who check the sanitary conditions of food service establishments and provide guidance on compliance with hygienic handling standards. The term of appointment is two years.
Eligibility is limited to Yeonsu District residents aged 65 or younger who meet one of the following criteria: those recommended by a consumer organization head, those with knowledge of food hygiene, holders of food hygiene-related certifications, graduates of food hygiene-related departments, or those with at least one year of experience in food hygiene administration.
Selection will be made through document review and interview. Appointed monitors will perform duties such as inspecting sanitation management at food service establishments, verifying whether products past their expiration dates are being sold, and providing guidance on compliance with hygienic handling standards.
