Park Eun-sik, head of the Korea Forest Service, visited the National Daejeon Forest Welfare Center in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, on Children's Day, May 5, to conduct wildfire prevention activities targeting family visitors.
Park inspected major facilities within the forest welfare center and explained wildfire prevention tips to visitors, including a strict ban on using cooking equipment inside forests, restrictions on bringing flammable materials, and immediate reporting of any illegal burning.
"Passing down beautiful forests to our children is one of the most important duties of our generation," Park said. "I hope you will personally practice wildfire prevention rules and help create a wildfire-free holiday."
