Inha University's career fair has evolved into an employment platform that embraces not only enrolled students but also local youth, drawing about 1,500 participants to the event marking its 10th anniversary this year.
Inha University's College Job Plus Center announced Tuesday that it had concluded the "2026 First-Half Career Fair." The event was held under the title "My Job Story Heard Directly From Inha University Alumni."
The career fair began in 2017. As the number of participants grew, it has been held twice a year since last year, in the first and second halves. Unlike recruitment briefings, it stands out for its focus on mentoring by current employees.
This year, 39 current employees working at 30 companies, including major corporations and foreign-invested firms, participated as mentors. The range of roles was broad, spanning management support, sales and marketing, logistics, production and R&D, semiconductor processes, and artificial intelligence (AI) engineering.
Students formed long lines in front of booths related to semiconductors and AI. The "IPP Zone," organized by companies participating in Inha University's IPP-type work-learning dual program, also drew a steady stream of visitors.
Cooperation with the central government and local authorities was also notable. The Central Regional Employment and Labor Office and Incheon City's Youth Policy Officer introduced youth employment services and support policies on site.
"This is a place that transforms vague career concerns into concrete job exploration," Inha University President Cho Myung-woo said. "We will continue to expand field-oriented programs that embrace local youth as well."
