South Jeolla Province (Jeonnam) will intensively operate its "Second Public Institution Relocation Task Force" through June as the central government's discussions on the second round of public institution relocation gain momentum.
The task force will hold monthly regular meetings to review progress, while each bureau plans to conduct direct visits and interviews with executives and labor unions of target institutions in their respective sectors. Through these efforts, the province aims to strengthen field-centered recruitment activities, actively promoting Jeonnam's living conditions and differentiated incentives.
Following the local elections, the province plans to form a province-wide citizens' recruitment committee to consolidate the capabilities of the Jeonnam-Gwangju integrated special city residents and mount an all-out response to attract public institutions.
Jeonnam has been working in cooperation with Gwangju Metropolitan City to identify 40 target institutions, including the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (Nonghyup), the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives (Suhyup), Korea District Heating Corp., Korea Environment Corp., and the Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning. The province is devoting full efforts to the second round of public institution relocation by developing customized recruitment strategies for each institution.
