Seoul's Geumcheon-gu announced that it has created an attractive garden called "Gyeol of Geumcheon," which embodies the district's identity, at Doha Park in Doksan 1-dong. The garden expresses the district's transition from an industrial city to a lifestyle and cultural city under the theme of "a garden connecting people, time, and space."
The garden is a flower path-style space of approximately 180 square meters located on an unused lot near Siheung-daero 79-gil. It was designed to be easily accessible for residents, students, and office workers in their daily lives. Featuring 32 plant species that reflect seasonal characteristics, along with rest areas and landscape lighting, the garden enhances year-round scenery and pedestrian convenience.
The district said it plans to expand the creation of gardens in daily living spaces to improve residents' quality of life.
