T-Sherpa, the teaching and learning support platform operated by Chunjae Education and Chunjae Textbook, will host an "Integrated Subject Play-Based Teaching Program" for teachers to support elementary students' healthy school life and guide arts and physical education subjects, the company said Monday.
The program is designed for teachers interested in instructing first and second graders. It focuses on providing teaching know-how that integrates healthy and safe life guidance for lower elementary grades with music, art, physical education and play activities. The training is structured as a hands-on program so teachers can immediately apply it in the classroom. Operated in conjunction with the "2026 Chunjae T-Sherpa Teaching Innovation Research Competition," the program is designed to enhance its applicability in actual classroom settings.
The "Integrated Subject Play-Based Teaching Program" will be held on the 30th of this month at the Sahyang Convergence Gymnasium at Seoul National University of Education. The detailed program begins with observation of the Teaching Innovation Research Competition, followed by three sessions: "Playing with the Body" in the first period, "Playing with Tools" in the second period, and "Growing Through Play" in the third period. Through play activities, teachers can experience physical activities, tool utilization and growth-centered teaching methods necessary for lower elementary classes.
"This program is designed to allow teachers to directly experience play-centered teaching know-how that can be immediately applied in lower elementary classrooms," said Kim Hwang, head of the T-Sherpa Business Division at Chunjae Education. "T-Sherpa plans to continue offering various teaching and learning support programs that help teachers prepare lessons and apply them in the classroom."
