The Korea Innovation Foundation (INNOPOLIS) announced Thursday that it received the top "Excellent" grade in the 2025 Public Institution Win-Win Growth Evaluation conducted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
The foundation was recognized for its full-cycle support system — spanning public technology transfer, startup creation, demonstration, global expansion, and technology protection — which has strengthened the competitiveness of special R&D zone companies at each stage of growth and contributed to building a shared-growth ecosystem.
INNOPOLIS has prioritized the commercialization of public technologies and the nurturing of deep-tech-based firms, pursuing initiatives to enhance the competitiveness of special zone companies and promote cooperative partnerships.
Last year's key programs included support for global expansion and public procurement market development for special zone firms, commercialization backing for industry-academia-research collaborations addressing social issues, and the planning and operation of "Inno-Security," a program designed to prevent the leakage of deep-tech technologies.
"This recognition reflects our efforts to achieve tangible growth outcomes for special zone companies on the ground," INNOPOLIS Chairman Jung Hee-kwon said. "We will expand practical and effective win-win growth support policies that small and medium-sized enterprises can genuinely feel."
