Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 21st that it has been selected as a co-first place winner in the Gyeonggi Job Foundation's "2026 City and County Customized Job Support Program," securing 20 million won in provincial funding.
Through this selection, the city will launch the "2026 Yangju Y-ROAD Integrated Job Fair" with a total budget of 38 million won, including 18 million won from its own budget. The fair will be held on August 27, targeting participation from 30 recruiting companies and 1,000 job seekers.
The city explained that the project was designed to respond to job demand arising from population inflow into the Okjeong and Hoecheon new towns, and to establish an employment base linked to the development of the Yangju Techno Valley. It plans to strengthen connections between job seekers and companies by introducing a data-based customized matching method.
The fair will operate in four zones: a recruitment zone, vision zone, support zone, and specialized zone. Alongside corporate recruitment booths, employment counseling, competency assessment-based consulting, and startup consultation will also be provided.
The city also plans to continue counseling and job placement support for unemployed participants after the fair, while conducting follow-up management including monitoring employment retention after hiring.
"We plan to operate the fair with a focus on practical effectiveness so that job seekers and companies can connect directly on site," said Song Mi-ae, head of Yangju City's Regional Economy Division.
