Park Eun-sik, Minister of the Korea Forest Service, visited Songnisan National Park in Boeun-gun, North Chungcheong Province, on Saturday to conduct a public awareness campaign for spring wildfire prevention.
Minister Park promoted the importance of wildfire prevention to spring visitors and hikers. He also visited a nearby village community center to engage with local residents, urging them to participate in wildfire prevention efforts, including refraining from burning agricultural waste.
"Wildfires can occur from even minor carelessness, so I ask all visitors to the mountains to take extra caution in wildfire prevention, including avoiding the use of fire," Minister Park said.
