Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI), celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, unveiled its commemorative emblem and slogan on Electricity Day, which falls on the 10th of this month.
KERI announced on the 9th that it selected the 50th anniversary emblem and slogan through a public preference vote conducted on its website and social media from February to March. A total of 10,000 people participated in the vote.
The selected emblem features the number "50" expressed through dynamic brush strokes using blue and orange, the signature colors of KERI's corporate identity. The background incorporates icons representing electricity and renewable energy, mobility, electric motors, and batteries and nanotechnology, emphasizing KERI's role as a cornerstone of the future power ecosystem and the foundation of national electrical technology.
The slogan unveiled alongside the emblem is "50 Years of Lighting the World, 100 Years of Shining Even Brighter."
KERI plans to hold various events and activities utilizing the emblem and slogan ahead of the main 50th anniversary celebration scheduled for November.
"We specifically unveiled the 50th anniversary emblem on Electricity Day, a legally designated commemorative day, to enhance the value of electrical technology and widely promote the institute's role and responsibilities," KERI President Kim Nam-gyun said. "KERI will strive to become an institute that leads the future, attracts companies, and works alongside the public."
