Jeonnam Province announced on January 9 that it is recruiting 30 pre-startup entrepreneurs for tourism businesses through January 24 to discover creative talents who will lead the future of the tourism industry.
Eligible applicants must be residents of Jeonnam Province or those planning to relocate to the region, aged 19 to 55 as of January 1, 2026, and must not have any business registration as of the announcement date. Applicants must maintain their resident registration in Jeonnam Province during the contract period.
Recruitment categories include services and content such as experiential content, theme tourism, and guide services; technology convergence areas such as smart tourism, reservation platforms, and mobility; facilities and infrastructure such as themed accommodations and local lounges; and tourism souvenirs and culinary products including digital goods and meal kits.
Jeonnam Province will select 30 pre-startup entrepreneurs and provide startup education and expert mentoring. Outstanding entrepreneurs will be selected to receive up to 20 million won in startup implementation funds.
