
Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center (Busan CCEI) is expanding the smart tourism ecosystem with an investment in an artificial intelligence-based tourism startup.
Busan CCEI announced Wednesday that it has made a seed investment in WitGlobal, an AI-based smart tourism solution company. The investment amount was not disclosed.
WitGlobal is a content solution company experiencing rapid growth with its offline innovation platform "WITH." The platform integrates AR-based hanbok virtual fitting, instant merchandise production, AI multilingual tourism guidance, and tax refund functions into a single kiosk.
The service has proven its utility through deployment at major domestic and international venues, including the COMEUP startup event, highway rest stops, and a pop-up store in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The platform has established itself as an "all-in-one tourism platform" that connects experiences, consumption, and tax refunds beyond simple information provision.
Busan CCEI decided on this investment based on its high evaluation of WitGlobal's AI and AR technology capabilities, the scalability of its offline-based spatial business (O2O), and its potential for K-tourism content innovation.
"This investment signifies that our technology and business model have been validated in the market," WitGlobal CEO Jin Hyun-wook said. "We will advance the WITH platform to grow as a key partner for K-marketing in the global tourism market."
