Daejeon Techno Park (Daejeon TP) announced on the 8th that it held a "Strategic Industry Field Communication Day" for trainees in the "Mid-Level Leader Course" at the Daejeon City Human Resources Development Institute.
Approximately 80 mid-level Grade 6 officials responsible for city administrative operations attended the event, which took place at Daejeon TP's Eoullim Plaza and major specialized centers.
Participants directly experienced Daejeon's strategic industry development infrastructure and broadened their understanding of policy implementation sites.
Daejeon TP operated field communication programs centered on the Space and Quantum Industry Center, Defense, Robotics, and Advanced Manufacturing Center, and Semiconductor and Energy Industry Center, which represent Daejeon's strategic industries.
At the Space and Quantum Industry Center, core infrastructure including antenna characteristic measurement rooms and wireless testing certification facilities were introduced based on the Daejeon SAT Project, examining the current status of the regional aerospace and quantum technology ecosystem.
At the Defense, Robotics, and Advanced Manufacturing Center, prototype manufacturing processes using large-scale 3D printers and X-ray CT inspection equipment were demonstrated, sharing industrial innovation cases based on advanced manufacturing.
At the Semiconductor and Energy Industry Center, material synthesis and nanoparticle analysis processes were explained in detail, and the industrial support system was presented so that city policy practitioners could actively utilize corporate development infrastructure in administration.
Daejeon TP expects this field communication to serve as an opportunity to implement "field-oriented administration," becoming a key driver for improving corporate awareness of Daejeon's strategic industry development policies and preparing swift support measures.
"By sharing the strategic industry sites driving Daejeon as a first-class economic city with key city administrative leaders, we aimed to establish a foundation for organic linkage between policy and the field," said Kim Woo-yeon, President of Daejeon TP. "As lowering administrative barriers starts with accurate understanding of the field, we will strive to ensure that strengthening public officials' expertise becomes a practical catalyst for accelerating the growth of local companies."
