The Daejeon Metropolitan Government announced Monday that it will launch the "2026 Korea Accommodation Sale Festa (Spring Edition)" in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to help spring visitors fully experience the city's urban charm and diverse attractions.
The event aims to ease the burden of accommodation costs while promoting extended-stay tourism linked to Daejeon's alley commercial districts and local landmarks.
In particular, the program is expected to encourage visitors to take their time enjoying Daejeon's distinctive tourism offerings such as bakeries, cafes and arboretums. It is also anticipated to provide an opportunity for deeper exploration of the city, which has recently gained attention as a "super fun city."
Accommodation discount coupons will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 a.m. on April 8. The coupons can be applied immediately when booking accommodations in Daejeon from April 8 through April 30.
Discount amounts vary based on the number of nights and payment amount. For one-night reservations, guests receive a 30,000 won discount on payments of 70,000 won or more, and a 20,000 won discount on payments between 20,000 won and less than 70,000 won. For reservations of two nights or more, discounts of up to 70,000 won are available depending on the payment amount.
"We hope travelers will slow down from their daily pace and leisurely enjoy spring in Daejeon," said Park Seung-won, director general of the Culture, Arts and Tourism Bureau. "We will do our best to create a comfortable and safe tourism environment so that time spent in Daejeon becomes a treasured memory."
Reservations can be made through seven participating online travel agencies including Lotte On, MyRealTrip and Yeogieoddae.
