
A magnitude 2.4 earthquake struck 8 km east-northeast of Hwasun-gun, South Jeolla Province, at 10:10:26 p.m. on Monday, the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said.
The epicenter was located at 35.08 degrees north latitude and 127.07 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 11 km.
"Residents near the epicenter may feel seismic tremors and are advised to take safety precautions," a KMA official said.
