A magnitude 2.4 earthquake struck the Hwasun-gun area in South Jeolla Province.
The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said a magnitude 2.4 earthquake occurred at 10:10:26 p.m. on Monday, 8 km east-northeast of Hwasun-gun, South Jeolla Province (latitude 35.08°N, longitude 127.07°E).
The epicenter was located at latitude 35.08°N and longitude 127.07°E. The depth of the earthquake was 11 km.
"Areas near the epicenter may feel seismic tremors," the KMA said. "Please take caution for your safety."
