The Gyeonggi Market and Commercial District Promotion Agency (GMCPA) will support approximately 2,600 small businesses in improving their store environments.
According to the GMCPA on Wednesday, the Small Business Management Environment Improvement Program is designed to help small business owners in Gyeonggi Province renovate aging stores and build more efficient management systems.
The program covers four areas: △store environment improvements (interior renovation) △signage and standing table replacements △system upgrades (POS systems, barrier-free kiosks, smart CCTV) △market development (online and offline sales channels, intellectual property applications). The market development category will be recruited through a separate announcement at a later date.
Eligible applicants are small business owners who have been operating in Gyeonggi Province for at least three years. Applications will be accepted from the end of this month through April 13. Businesses whose revenue has declined over the past two years may receive additional points during the selection process.
However, those who have received similar support programs from Gyeonggi Province or municipal governments within the past three years are excluded.
Applications can be submitted online through the GMCPA website or "Gyeonggi Baro," a comprehensive support platform for small businesses.
"We expect the Management Environment Improvement Program to provide practical help to small business owners struggling with high prices and an economic slowdown," GMCPA Director Kim Min-chul said.
