
South Chungcheong Province's Taean County announced on the 19th that the Taean Marine Healing Center has been newly selected for the Korea Tourism Organization's "2026 Top 88 Wellness Tourism Destinations," earning official recognition as a leading marine healing destination in South Korea.
The center was newly selected in the "Beauty/Spa" category among six specialized fields, receiving high marks for combining Taean's unique marine resources with modern healing programs. It has now established itself as a new wellness tourism hub showcasing the appeal of South Chungcheong Province.
Selected destinations will receive various forms of support including growth consulting, foreign visitor attraction consulting, and promotional assistance. The center plans to use this as a springboard to strengthen its operational capabilities and expand visitor numbers, solidifying its position as a global marine healing city.
