The Korea Forest Service announced Thursday that it has published a nationwide map of spring flower and forest product festivals for the first half of 2026, providing a comprehensive guide to forest-related events across the country.
The newly released map contains information on major spring flower festivals in 124 regions nationwide through the end of June, along with local specialty forest products, regional attractions, and food offerings.
Monthly festivals featuring spring flowers include the Yeongchwisan Azalea Festival in Yeosu in March, the Azalea Festival in Gunpo in April, the Ulsan Grand Park Rose Festival in May, and the Lotus Festival in Muan in June.
The Korea Forest Service plans to host the Forest Food Festival in Seoul on May 13, where forestry households from across the country will sell and offer tastings of forest products they have cultivated themselves. Food-related events such as the Yangpyeong Cornus and Hanwoo Festival on April 4 and the Hongcheon Wild Vegetables Festival on May 1 are also drawing attention.
Details about the spring flower and forest product festival map are available on the Korea Forest Service website, with information on second-half festivals scheduled for release in June.
Regional festival schedules may change depending on event conditions, and visitors are advised to contact local authorities for accurate information before visiting.
"There are many regional festivals where people can enjoy seasonal forest products along with spring flowers," said Jang Min-young, Director of the Forest Recreation and Healing Division at the Korea Forest Service. "We hope many citizens will visit rural mountain villages to experience their charm and help revitalize the mountain village economy."
