The Incheon Metropolitan City Institute of Health and Environment will operate the "2026 Children's Science Class" for elementary school students. Registration opens on the 16th by phone, with 10 participants accepted per session on a first-come, first-served basis.
The science classes will be held at the Institute of Health and Environment over four sessions: April 11 and 25, and June 13 and 27. Any elementary school student residing in Incheon is eligible to participate.
The program consists of Health Science Class and Daily Life Science Class. In the Health Science Class, participants will learn proper handwashing techniques, stain microorganisms themselves, and observe them under microscopes. They will also examine the characteristics of sanitary pests such as mosquitoes and ticks.
In the Daily Life Science Class, experiments will be conducted to extract coloring agents from snacks and candies. A hands-on experience making portable mosquito repellent using natural plant-based oils is also included.
