
Law firm Bae, Kim & Lee announced on the 6th that it has recruited attorney Lim Hyo-ryang, a former presiding judge of Suwon District Court and graduate of the 34th class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute.
Attorney Lim served as a judge at Seoul Northern District Court, Ulsan District Court, and Busan District Court after completing his training at the Judicial Research and Training Institute in 2005. He also held positions as Planning Deliberation Officer 1 and 2 at the National Court Administration of the Supreme Court, and as presiding judge of the Western Branch of Busan District Court.
Notably, he served for two years from 2023 as the dedicated presiding officer of Supreme Court research judges, overseeing legal review and case law research for appeals to the Supreme Court. He was named an outstanding judge by the Busan Bar Association in 2021 and 2022, and contributed to the introduction of electronic litigation and video trials as one of the court system's leading IT experts.
Based on his extensive experience handling numerous civil and criminal cases as well as corporate disputes, Attorney Lim will join Bae, Kim & Lee's Litigation and Arbitration Group, where he will handle corporate litigation including civil and criminal cases, commercial and management rights disputes, and IT and technology disputes.
