Seoul Economic Daily will host a seminar titled "Industrial Safety: No Longer Optional, But Essential" in partnership with law firm Lee & Ko on March 25.
The Serious Accidents Punishment Act enters its fifth year of implementation this year. However, the number of workers losing their lives to serious industrial accidents has not decreased at all.
Meanwhile, cases brought to court for alleged violations of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act approached 100 last year, with many businesses voicing concerns that the law "only increases management uncertainty."
This is why calls for a paradigm shift in industrial safety and regulation are gaining momentum both within and outside industrial and legal circles.
The seminar aims to explore solutions that enable companies to pursue both serious accident prevention and growth simultaneously. We encourage businesses and readers to take interest in this event.
