
Hyundai Motor's management and union held the 'H-Regional Partnership Social Contribution Fund Ceremony' at the Ulsan Buk-gu Volunteer Center on the 4th, donating 726 million won to six organizations including the Community Chest of Korea Ulsan and the Arts Council Korea.
The ceremony was attended by labor-management representatives including Kim Dong-min, Executive Vice President of Hyundai Motor's Ulsan Business Support Office, and Lee Chang-min, Senior Vice Chairman of the Hyundai Motor Branch of the Korean Metal Workers' Union, as well as Park Cheon-dong, Mayor of Buk-gu, Jeon Young-do, Chairman of the Community Chest of Korea Ulsan, and Yeom Seon-yong, Chairman of the Buk-gu Volunteer Center.
The donated funds will be used for the 'H-Ioniq Forest' project to create an eco-friendly rest area on the abandoned railway site at Hogye Station, operation of the 'Soeburi Festival' celebrating traditional local ironmaking techniques, and various volunteer and sports activities in the Buk-gu area.
Since 2018, Hyundai Motor's management and union have donated the 'H-Regional Partnership' fund to related organizations to support community-based social contribution activities in Buk-gu, with cumulative donations reaching approximately 2.36 billion won.
A Hyundai Motor official said, "We will continue to work closely with local governments, regional specialized institutions, and resident organizations to actively address welfare issues in Ulsan's Buk-gu district and improve the quality of life for residents."
