Inha University Hospital announced Wednesday that it ranked 9th in Korea and 122nd globally in Newsweek's "World's Best Hospitals 2026" rankings. The hospital is the only facility in the Incheon and northwestern Gyeonggi Province region to place within the top 250.
The domestic ranking of 9th place marks the third consecutive year at that position. The global ranking jumped 17 spots from 139th last year. The hospital continues to strengthen its presence as a global medical institution with steady annual growth.
Newsweek has published global hospital rankings since 2019 in collaboration with German market research firm Statista. The evaluation is based on four criteria: medical performance indicators (40%), expert recommendations (35%), patient satisfaction (18.5%), and implementation of patient-reported outcome measures (6.5%).
Inha University Hospital was also included in the "World's Best Smart Hospitals" list in September last year. The hospital is leading the development of a regionally integrated healthcare system through continued investment in precision medicine and AI-based clinical care.
"As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we are designing future hospital standards centered on AI and precision medicine," said Lee Taek, President of Inha University Medical Center. "We will achieve medical innovation where data-driven smart care and warm empathy for patients coexist."
