GUNPO – Gunpo City began operating a marriage registration photo zone on the first floor of City Hall starting Tuesday.
The installation offers couples registering their marriage an opportunity to commemorate the occasion. The photo zone is available without reservation from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays when evening civil services operate.
Family members accompanying newlyweds may also use the facility. Props including bouquets and selfie sticks are provided, and civil service staff can assist with photography.
Separately, the city has distributed approximately 700 Korean national flags to couples completing marriage registration at City Hall. The initiative aims to reinforce the significance of marriage and promote patriotism.
"We created a house-shaped photo zone decorated with flowers to celebrate the birth of new families through marriage," Mayor Ha Eun-ho said. "We will continue working to provide administrative services that add special meaning to citizens' happy moments."
