Gangdong Art Center is unveiling its 2026 season lineup to mark its 15th anniversary, featuring world-class artists and original repertoire productions.
The season opens this month with "Symphony of Musical I - Kim Moon-jung's Cook the Music," followed by Universal Ballet's "Don Quixote," soprano Sumi Jo's 40th debut anniversary concert in May, Seoul Metropolitan Dance Theatre's "Mimesis" in June, and conductor Han-Na Chang with the KBS Symphony Orchestra performing Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 "Choral" in December.
The lineup also includes a matinee concert series "Reasons to Travel, and Music" featuring author Kim Young-ha, as well as "Harriet," an accessibility-focused theatrical production incorporating sign language interpretation, subtitles, and audio description.
"We will strengthen our role as a cultural arts hub for the southeastern region by focusing on developing original repertoire," said Kim Young-ho, CEO of Gangdong Cultural Foundation.
