The Daejeon Metropolitan Government announced on the 3rd that it is recruiting participants for the "2026 Youth Growth Project," a program supporting youth job-seeking activities and preventing transitions to economically inactive status.
The Youth Growth Project, operated by Daejeon Metropolitan Government and the Daejeon Jobs and Economy Promotion Agency, has been selected for the Ministry of Employment and Labor's public competition for three consecutive years since 2024. The program is an open employment support initiative for young people aged 15 to 39. Using youth cafes as hubs, it provides comprehensive support including initial counseling, customized programs, and linkages to employment policies.
The youth cafe "Daejeon Job Support Center" is equipped with a lounge and professional counseling rooms where young people can stay, rest, and socialize in their daily lives. Certified youth coordinators are stationed on-site to provide one-stop employment counseling and employment policy linkage services.
