Daejeon Metropolitan City announced on the 3rd that it has been operating the "2026 Korail-linked Tourism Program" since March, providing travel vehicles and drivers to foreign tourists visiting Daejeon via Korail.
When train passengers verify their ticket receipts, vehicles are provided based on group size: large buses for groups of 20-40, mid-sized buses for 10-19 passengers, and vans or sedans for small groups of fewer than 10.
Under the slogan "Take the train, tour Daejeon for free," the program offers seven courses connecting major tourist attractions, Daejeon's unique characters, and festivals and events. A non-face-to-face program has also been prepared for cases where normal tour operations become unavoidable due to natural disasters or other circumstances.
The program runs from March through December and may end early if the budget is exhausted.
Park Seung-won, Director of the Culture, Arts and Tourism Bureau, said, "This year's Korail-linked tourism program has been newly reorganized to reflect participant demand and generational travel trends. We hope tourists visiting Daejeon can enjoy convenient and safe travel."
