A transformer explosion caused a power outage affecting residents in Sillim-dong and Bongcheon-dong in Seoul's Gwanak District.
According to the Gwanak Fire Station on the 2nd, approximately 500 households in the Sillim-dong and Bongcheon-dong areas experienced power outages. About 20 reports related to the outage were received throughout the day. No secondary incidents such as elevator entrapments or fires occurred.
The incident was caused by damage to high-voltage equipment resulting from bird contact. Power was fully restored as of 9 p.m.
