Incheon Stages Family-Friendly Performances From Musicals to Dance in March

As warm spring breezes arrive in March, Incheon is set to host a diverse lineup of performances for the whole family, spanning musicals, classical music, choral concerts, and dance.

Leading the month is "Maybe Happy Ending," a landmark Korean original musical. As part of its 10th-anniversary national tour, the show will run for four performances over two days on March 14-15 at Incheon Culture & Arts Center's main hall. A steady seller with over 90% paid seat occupancy since its 2016 premiere, the musical tells the story of forgotten helper robots Oliver and Claire discovering love. Despite its futuristic setting, the production leaves audiences with a warm analog sensibility. Cast members who have grown with the show, including Jeon Mi-do, Bang Min-ah, Jeon Seong-woo, and Jeong Hwi, will take the stage. Tickets are priced at 90,000 won for R seats, 80,000 won for S seats, and 70,000 won for A seats. The show is open to audiences aged 14 and older.

A week later on March 18, the small hall will host "2026 Coffee Concert I: Tango Breeze" at 2 p.m. The performance features cellist Hong Jin-ho, bandoneonist Ko Sang-ji, and jazz pianist Choi Moon-seok. The cello's deep tones, the bandoneon's dramatic breath, and jazz piano's free improvisation combine to add modern sensibility to traditional tango. All seats are 15,000 won, open to elementary school students and older.

Families with young children may want to note "Four-City Choral Concert" on March 21 at the small hall. The Incheon Metropolitan Youth Choir will join choirs from Anyang, Gunpo, and Siheung for this exchange concert. Each choir will deliver messages of hope before uniting for the finale, "Singing the Seasons." The free concert is open to ages 5 and older.

Performances are concentrated in the final week of March. The Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra will present its 441st subscription concert, "Adventurous IPO II," on March 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Art Center Incheon Concert Hall. Under Music Director Choi Su-yeol, the orchestra will perform Isang Yun's "Réak" and Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring," with "Artist of the Year" violinist Lee Su-bin performing Tchaikovsky's concerto. An open rehearsal format concert, "Process Concert I," will be held the day before on March 26, offering audiences a glimpse into how performances come together. All seats are 10,000 won, open to elementary school students and older.

On the same day, the Incheon Metropolitan Dance Company will premiere "Inside Out: Choreographers" at the small hall. Running March 27-28, this experimental creative production features both company and guest choreographers. Four works will be presented: "Yuyu Hwahyang," comparing life's journey to flower fragrance; "Helpless," questioning the climate crisis; "Radiant Stillness," depicting inner peace; and "Whispers at the Toes," a playful exploration of love and desire. All seats are 10,000 won, open to elementary school students and older.
