Law firm Dongin has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korea Digital Forensic Center (K-DFC) to strengthen expertise in digital forensics.
Dongin announced on the 27th that it signed an MOU with K-DFC for enhanced digital forensics capabilities at Dongin's main conference room in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
The agreement was spearheaded by Dongin's Criminal Evidence & Digital Analysis Strategy Center (CEDA). Last month, the firm expanded and reorganized its warrant forensics team into CEDA, centering on attorneys with backgrounds as district prosecutors, deputy chief prosecutors, and police officers, to maximize investigative response capabilities. Through this agreement, both parties will establish an integrated cooperation system for digital evidence analysis and response strategies.
Under the MOU, the two organizations agreed to actively cooperate on: technical support and consulting for digital evidence collection and recovery in civil and criminal cases; research on securing legal admissibility of digital evidence and response measures; operation of digital forensics practical training programs; and exchange of the latest technical information.
"Through this agreement, we will provide effective comprehensive solutions for clients—from proactive risk management to on-site response and follow-up measures—living up to our center's slogan 'CEDA means strong strategy,'" said Choi In-sang, head of CEDA.
