INCHEON — A second metropolitan express bus route connecting Incheon's Yeongjong International City to Seoul's Gangnam district opens this month.
The Incheon Metropolitan Government will begin operating M-Bus route M6463 on May 28.
The M6463 departs from e-Pyeonhanseang Yeongjong Sky City and travels to Gangnam Station and Yangjae Flower Market via Unseo Station, the Incheon International Airport Expressway, and Olympic Expressway. Service begins with the first departure at 5 a.m.
The new route is the second metropolitan express bus linking Yeongjong to Gangnam, following the M6462 launched in December 2024. The M6463 is expected to significantly improve accessibility to Gangnam for Yeongjong residents and enhance metropolitan commuting conditions.
Initial operations will deploy three vehicles, including two regular buses and one chartered bus. The city plans to gradually increase the fleet based on ridership demand and vehicle availability.
"With the M6463 now operating alongside the M6462, accessibility from Yeongjong to the Gangnam area will greatly improve," said Jang Cheol-bae, Director of the Transportation Bureau at Incheon Metropolitan Government. "We will enhance convenience for residents through stable operations."
The city plans to progressively expand the metropolitan transportation network serving Yeongjong. It aims to improve service quality based on Incheon's quasi-public metropolitan bus system and will work with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Metropolitan Transport Commission to develop new routes.
Meanwhile, the M6464 connecting Songdo District 6 to Gangnam Station will also begin operations on May 28.
