The Incheon Agricultural Technology Center announced on the 27th that it conducted safety leader training for executives of commodity-specific research associations to promote a culture of farm work safety practices.
The training was designed to prevent safety accidents in agricultural settings and spread a safety-focused culture centered on research associations. The program targeted association executives, including presidents and secretaries, enabling them to serve as key leaders in promoting safety within their organizations.
The curriculum focused on hands-on practice, covering basic agricultural safety theory, types of personal protective equipment and proper wearing methods, and safety protocols during farm work.
The center expects safety awareness to spread throughout agricultural sites as association executives fulfill their roles as safety leaders and share the training content with their members.
"Farmer safety is not optional but essential," a center official said. "A culture of self-directed practice and compliance is paramount."
The official added, "We will continue our efforts through training and field support to establish a farmer-led safety culture."
