The special counsel team led by Cho Eun-seok has filed requests to broadcast the appeal trials of former President Yoon Suk-yeol and former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo.
The insurrection special counsel team announced through a media notice on the 26th that it had submitted broadcast requests to the appellate courts handling Yoon's case involving obstruction of special public duty execution and Han's case involving participation in key insurrection duties.
Yoon's case concerning obstruction of his arrest will be heard by the Seoul High Court Criminal Division 1, presided over by Judge Yoon Sung-sik. Han's case will be handled by Criminal Division 12-1, presided over by Judge Lee Seung-cheol. Yoon's trial is scheduled for the 4th of next month, while Han's is set for the 5th. Each appellate court will decide whether to permit live broadcasts.
